What You Need to Know About Condenser Coil Cleaning ...

Fully 80% of operators never do any preventative maintenance on their units --- the remaining 20% do some, but not often enough.
Condenser coils need to be cleaned at least every calendar quarter for: energy savings in running the units; insurance against emergency service calls; and prolonged equipment life.
Recent data shows it is possible to achieve up to a 50% electric energy savings when the unit is running with clean coils ---- we'd be happy to email you this data!
Finally, compressed air blowing out of the dirty coils is the most effective and quickest cleaning method. However, to prevent collateral pollution by the blown-off debris, our COILPOD dust hood is a needed cleaning aid for the job as shown in the demo video on this site.

"We absolutely love the [COILPOD dust hoods]. It is every thing it is advertised to be. The material used to construct the pod exceeded my expectations. This enables us to clean coils during regular work shifts without the over time expense of making this a night job. Our slowest day is Saturday and our Saturday guy is leaving in two weeks. I won't have to replace him because what he does on Saturday can now be done during the week. Where we had to move several pieces of heavy equipment to clean up behind a blow out no longer happens. If the condenser is in the front and the condensate pan with a float operated heater is in the back you would have to clean out the blown out dust in the pan to prevent wet dust sticking to the float and keeping the heater on, burning the dust creating an emergency call with the burning smell. This no longer happens and no equipment has to be moved. This is a wonderful tool for PM maintenance in restaurants."
